Woke up this morning with enthusiasm because I woke up before anybody else hehehe semangat nak buat kopi sebab mata half opened and I felt tired… (sapa suruh tidoq lepaih midnight). Went downstairs and started filling up the coffee pot with water until I realized we were out of coffee…. It was 8 in the morning and I told Yusuf last night we should have breakfast early tomorrow, before his meeting at 9. I made blueberry scones yesterday so excited nak makan sarapan dengan kopi panas harini… aduhaiii… So I told him, “oh no, we’re out of coffee” he looked at me and turned around to go to his basement office, “I’m going to do some work” (but his face says it all, ‘ok I’m not gonna do this’ lol) krik krik malas nak layan la tu sebab selalunya dia kena pi kedai, hahahaha !
Bummer, I need coffee! Guess I’m going to the store then… Walmart hat dekat ni apa pun tak buleh, depa takdak whole bean coffee, depa ada ground coffee saja.. blurghhh… I had no choice but to drive to Fred Meyer to get some (5 min drive).. yes just for coffee! I asked Yusuf if we can get coffee from Starbucks, it’s just 2 blocks down the road, dia kata toksah lah. Couldn’t agree more with him, beli kopi kat starbucks dalam $4-5 jugak secawan kopi yang buleh buat sendiri kat romah. Beli saja la biji kopi Starbucks kat kedai, grind sendiri pahtu brew sendiri, puaih hati.. kami mana la mampu nak minum Starbucks hari2 weiii. Setakat black coffee baik buat sendiri.
Oh btw, kami suka try macam2 jenih biji kopi. Lately kami beli hat timbang kati kat kedai jenama Javatopia. I love medium roast, Yusuf loves dark roast more so I got some dark roast, it was Andes Midnight Blend with some tasting notes of bold, complex and intensively flavorful. Fuhhhh perasa apa ni panjang sangat, lol. Apa2 pun cheq balik dengan happy dapat drive sorang2, walaupun dapat keluaq 15 minit saja, alhamdulillah. Sometimes I just need to find a reason to go out and practice my driving, maybe some me time? hehehe… I feel more confident and relaxed when driving alone tbh
Nevertheless, today is going to be a wonderful day, in sha Allah 🙂
